Amala Paul building dream house in Kochi
Amala Paul has revealed that she is constructing a house at Kochi in Kerala. At the same time, the Prema Khaidi girl, who is getting ready for the release of 'Vettai' in Tamil, and who has a film opposite Siddharth (titled as Love Failure, which is a bi-lingual), also said she would settle in Chennai this year to take care of her acting career.
"Yes, I am building my dream house in Kochi. And I am so excited about it. But I will relocate to Chennai soon", she said, adding: "I am grateful to Kollywood and the fans here for the support and encouragement they are giving me."
The actress has been on a roll since the release of Mynaa (Prema Khaidi) in Tamil. While in Vettai, she is acting with the likes of Madhavan and Arya, in Love Failure (titled as Kadhalil Sodhapuvadu Yeppadi in Tamil), she is playing a humorous role. Looks like she has put the Bejawada nightmare behind her.
Meanwhile, she is considered for a role opposite Venkatesh in Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, though a confirmation from the producer is awaited.
Genelia will rather do nothing
Genelia D'Souza says that she set for herself some rules before entering the industry. The actress, who proved her mettle in a significant way many years ago with her Bommarillu performance, says that she will stop acting when good roles stop coming to her. She will rather spend her time in leisure than playing flimsy roles.
Well, the actress has a good number of films on her platter this year. Beginning from Hook Ya Crook, It's My Life, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, Rock The Shaadi and Bloody Paki, not to forget the one Telugu film, Naa Ishtam with Rana Daggubati, the actress has accepted many meaningful roles.
The actress, who is all set to marry her long-time boy friend Riteish Deshmukh, is an actress to reckon with in Telugu. Her performance in Orange assumed the form of subtlety at some places. But it remained an underrated performance, thanks to the BO fate of the Bhaskar directorial.
Uday Kiran to build six pack abs!
After Sunil, it is the turn of Uday Kiran to spring a surprise by building a six pack abs body. In what may be called a conscious image transformation of sorts, the chocolate boy, who might be the only hero who has done the least number of fighting scenes in his decade-old career, will be seen in an action-oriented film. The untitled film will be directed by his Sreeram director, VN Aditya. (The director debuted with a hit in the form of Manasantha Nuvve, but later on went into a hibernation, only to be given a chance by MS Raju in the form of Aata, which too came a cropper).
Interestingly, the movie is touted as a sequel to Sreeram, which was itself an average caper. The movie did have its share of good moments and the strength of the story, but it will be interesting to see how it will be carried forward.
Uday was one of the reigning stars when Sreeram happened. Cut to the present, he is in a lurch. While a film of his is languishing in the studios, even the female fans have stopped going to theatres to watch him. How far the six-packs formula can attract the eyeballs is to be seen.
It is learnt that Uday has started working on Project Six. The film is set to go on the floors in mid-2012.
Anushka never thinks she is a star
It is rare to come across individuals who do not believe in priding themselves by claiming that they have achieved a lot. Anushka Shetty is one such humble woman. "The day I entertain the notion that I am a star, I will think that there is nothing left to be learnt. That's why I never allow the thought to come to me. I always yearn to better myself every single day", says Anushka thoughtfully.
Saying that she always feels lucky for becoming a sought-after heroine though she never had to frequent production houses with her pics in the file, Anushka avers that she had not known the basics of acting when she was put in front of the camera. There is a funny anecdote here: Anushka involuntarily did a yogic exercise on the first day of her shooting and left the unit members laughing at the gaffe.
Well, from being a neophyte to an Arundhati portraying the toughest emotions, the dusky beauty has made an incredible journey. Currently shooting for Nagarjuna's Damarukam, in which she is learnt to be playing a performance-oriented role (what's new to her?), the actress is busy with more number of Tamil films than Telugu ones.
Thaandavan (with Vikram) and Irandam Ulagam (with Arya) in Tamil and Vaaradhi (with Prabhas) in Tamil are among her forthcoming films.
